Victor KachiCorning Announced Corning Gorilla Glass 5 With Additional Protection
It's been 3months after Corning released the vibrant Gorilla Glass. Now the news is that, Corning has announced it new Gorilla Glass 5 which was said to have addition protection from breaking. Corning also came out in boldness to say that Gorilla Glass 5 will survive 80% of time when it falls face down from about 1.6 meters on a bad and rough floor.
John Bayne which is the Vice president and general manager of Corning Gorilla Glass has this to say;
“With each successive generation of Corning Gorilla Glass, we have taken cover glass technology to new levels. Gorilla Glass 5 is no exception, extending Corning’s advantage in drop performance over competitive glasses,”
“With many real-world drops occurring from between waist and shoulder height, we knew improving drop performance would be an important and necessary advancement.”
According to source, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 will be officially available before the end of this year 2016.
