4G LTE Network Review For MTN NTEL And Smile 4G
Mtn 4G network is currently still in progress. Though I have published more detailed post about the test which you can read here.
There are now 3 different companies in Nigeria that provides 4G network which are:
Everyone of them has their own services in their tariff plan, data capacity, network coverage etc. I will be reviewing the three network right here in this post.
Smile 4G Services
I will be starting with Smile 4G network. Smile 4G sells 1GB for N1000 which is valid for 30days. The maximum speed you'll be getting is 2Mbps. They also offer 5GB of data for N5000 which is valid for 30days. And also 10GB of data for N9000. You can also browse on a Pay As You Go plan. i.e browse with your airtime. If you don't have much to surf, you can opt in for this plan. Smile 4G also offers weekend and night browsing,, as well as an UnlimitedPremium plan that is capped at maximum speed of 4Mbps. The speed drops to 2Mbps when you cross 100GB of usage and drops further to 512Kbps when you cross 200GB of use in the month. Validity is 30 days and it will cost you N19,800.
Ntel 4G Services
Ntel are just coming up to the business and they offer unlimited data plans. i.e; there is no data capacity allocated on Ntel data plan. Their data are straight forward for you to choose from. The base plan gives you two days of unlimited browsing for N1,000. The Weekly plan gives you 7 days of unlimited browsing for N3,000, while the Monthly plan gives you 30 days of unlimited browsing for N10,000.
MTN-Visafone 4G Services
MTN Visafone is the newest 4G network in the business. Let's just abbreviate it to MTN-V. The base bundle plan available costs N449 for 150MB for 24 hours. But you can also get 10GB for N5,000 only, valid for 30 days, or 15GB of data valid for 30 days at the cost of N10,000. There are other plans available too, but one thing is clear: MTNV 4G plans are not as cheap as the normal MTN data plans we know. It also has to be said that MTNV is still in test phase and accessible only to former Visafone lines that migrated to MTN. Hope you grab?
Summary:
MTN-V and Smile has a broad list of data plans for you to choose from. All depends on how you need them not like Ntel.
HOW IS THEIR NETWORK COVERAGE LIKE?
Currently, Ntel has the poor network coverage at the moment, followed by Smile 4G. We know MTN has a good coverage almost in all locations. So MTN Visafone has a good network coverage.
HOW IS THEIR SPEED LIKE?
There haven't been much to say about the three 4G network providers' speed tests. Though we should expect to see 2Mbps to 10Mbps for most of their data plans cos some has speed throttle in some stage. Anyway that's all i have to say for now.
