Victor KachiOpera Max Happily Announced 50 Million Active Users And VIP Mode
Opera has officially announced that their Data saving app -Opera Max- has reached over 50 Million active users on Android. Alongside with the announcement, Opera has also released a new version of its app, which now has a VIP mode for unlimited data savings and also privacy.
Opera launched Opera Max to compress the web. Data saving has been a thing of long, and it's a cool feature if you ask me. Few months ago, Google added Data saving feature to its browser Google Chrome. Opera Max is a free VPN that lowers your data usage when browsing, streaming videos and audios. The only requirement is to tap a button every 12 hours to lengthen your data-saving experience.
When the button is tapped, the app will display an Ads which are the main income for the data compressing servers of the Norwegian software company.
The updated Opera Max adds VIP mode, which allows you to use Data saving unlimitedly, without you tapping the button every 12 hours. If you decide to go for it, you will still see an Ads on your lock screen while charging, even if the app is not running in background.
Ironically, blocking background apps was one of the good features that Opera Max had but apparently now they are doing exactly the same. For revenue of course.
