Real Truth About 9mobile BlazeOn Time Data Plan
If you have been following this blog (entclass.com.ng), you'll recall when i shared 9Mobile (formally known as etisalat) BlazeOn app that lets you activate time based data plan on the network.
There have been series of bad reviews on the playstore and in the post's comment box since the plan was launched. Based on the reviews and complaints I've received lately, it has come to my notice that these plans are not unlimited as they claimed it to be.
There have been wrong information about these plans, and I'm here to reveal the truth behind these time based plans. There are four different plans on 9mobile's time based plans, which are 10mins, 15mins, 30mins, and 1 hour timely plan.
According to the misleading message by 9mobile, they said; "buy data in minutes, buy data in hours", no further details about the plan. In this post, i will explain what you need to know about these plans.
Even at that, these time based plans came with fair usage policy and all plans are data capped. See the full list and data allocated to each plan.
If you should ask me, i don't really expect this from the network. The time based data plan i know use to be unlimited just as seen previously on other telcos before it was discontinued.
However, with the fair usage policy attached to 9Mobile time based plans, I think it is still one of the best data plan. Getting 1.5GB for just N200 is not that bad.
If you are an heavy user and there's strong 9mobile network in your area, then you should consider going for this time based plan. You can either use it to update your apps on Playstore, upgrade your phone if possible, download games and more. I'm sure you'll like it.
For now, the app is available for Android users, but might be rolled out for iOS device very soon. The plan can't be used directly on a PC except through tethering from an Android device.
How To Subscribe to 9mobile BlazeOn Timely Data Plan
Just sms “blazeon” to 229 or you can alternatively download & install the blazeon app from Here.
Set up the app and you are good to go.
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
>> Blazeon don't have pause feature, if you are not ready to use it, don't activate the plan
>> If your battery is not charged to sustain you for that particular time, don't activate the plan
>> If you don't have strong 9Mobile network in your area, don't activate the plan, otherwise your money and time will be wasted.
On the off chance you open the BlazeOn app and the airtime on your account balance is not appearing. Simply tap the Menu icon >> Balance & Purchases. Click on the reload icon at the bottom to update your account, then go back to the main menu to choose the most suitable time plan.
Note that 9Mobile Ramadan Special Offer is still working. The plan works for both Muslims and Christians but it's sim selective. You get 1GB for just N200 or 5GB for N1000 on 9Mobile network, valid for 3days, more details Here.
