How to Appear Offline on Facebook Messenger for Android




There are times you would want to hide your appearance on Facebook Messenger, maybe because you don't want someone to know that you are online or probably you want to chat with a particular person and you don't want to get disturbed by other chats.

There are many reasons why you would want to appear offline on Facebook Messenger. Ofcourse it's very possible to appear offline on Messenger, and it's very simple to do. It's not as hard as you may have thought it would be.

Below are the few easy steps to appear offline on Facebook messenger for Android. It won't take you up to 60 seconds to do.

HOW TO APPEAR OFFLINE ON FACEBOOK MESSENGER

1. Open Messenger.

2. Tap the Address Book icon. It’s at the bottom-right corner of the screen.

3. Tap Active. It’s at the top of the screen. Then wait for your contacts to load.

4. Toggle the switch beside your name to the Off position. The switch will turn gray, indicating that you no longer appear “online” to your Messenger contacts.

You may still get Chat Head messages if any of your friends messaged you, but he/she won't know you are online.
