Guarantee Trust Bank -GTBank- has released a new app called Bank 737. The popularly known *737# is a short code to carry out transactions on any device, even from your torchlight phone.
GTBank has officially created an app for the Android users to carry out transactions right from the comfort of your home without stepping out to any bank or vendor.
If you currently have an account with GTBank and have used the *737# USSD short code, you must have understand how the code works. That's exactly what the Bank 737 app does. There's no much difference between both channels; just that the *737# ussd code doesn't require internet connection as you can carry out transactions offline, while you need internet connection to use the Bank 737 app.
If i must add, the USSD short code can be used on any type of phone, but the Bank 737 is currently available on Android devices only for now.

DeleteAs already stated by the OP, I'm yet to really understand the rationale behind GTBANK coming up with three different apps for their customers.
ReplyDeleteAs for me and my household, we will continue to use the old app cos it's still serving all my banking needs.
If you look at it, Kachi even specified what each is for. As in, their main focus. There is one that is like POS. So they are different atleast a bit
