Facebook and Messenger App will now share the same Stories
Facebook Messenger Day has been discontinued and replaced with Facebook app Stories. What this simply means is that, Facebook app and Messenger app now shares the same Stories across both apps.
I've been expecting this day to come because it's a lot of stress posting one Story on Facebook app, and then post it again on Messenger app. It's really a big stress. Now, the Stories you see in the main Facebook app are the same ones that you will see in the Messenger app.
If you post a Story on either Facebook app or Messenger app, they will be visible in the other app. If you open them in one app, they are marked as viewed in the other app. Just like that. Same applies to replies and reactions on the Story.
This will increase the views and reactions of the Story and as well reduce the stress of posting the same Story on the Facebook app and Messenger app.
Facebook is also reportedly working on enabling cross-posting Instagram Stories to Facebook but the reverse is not yet planned.
