Whatsapp to end Support for Older Blackberry OS and Windows Phone on December 31 2017
Whatsapp is not yet done with older versions of smartphones. At first I didn't believed this news but it seens they are really serious about this upcoming sad update.
Though, Whatsapp has been trying to end support for older Blackberry and Nokia devices but keeps extending the support. Now, news had it that Whatsapp set to end support for older Blackberry OS, BB10 and Windows phone running 8.0 and older on December 31, 2017.
This implies that, you will not be able to use WhatsApp again on these devices and/or even create account on them.
Like seriously, Whatsapp has been patient enough by giving these devices long grace period. If fortunately they dropped support for these mobile platforms, i won't blame them.
If you are still using any of the above devices, please it's time to upgrade to a more newer phone to continue using Whatsapp.

ReplyDelete..I think they mean business now
It's been long coming but it's still sad cause it is still very useful on those Nokia asha phones.
ReplyDeleteI wish they only end support for newer versions but still let the old versions continue to work.
It should be better like that. But still, they have the final say.
