Google is Testing a Horizontal Tab Switcher for Chrome Android app
If your device is running on the latest Android P operating system, you should be familiar with some new features the OS brings. One of the features is the horizontal recent app switcher.
Google is planning to implement this feature in its Android Chrome app too. The tabs are to be arranged horizontally which you can swipe to left and right to switch between tabs.
This new design is still in testing mode on Chrome Canary (an unstable version of Chrome with some experimental features). Chrome Canary gives you an insight of what is coming to the stable version of Chrome browser.
With the new horizontal tab switcher, you can see the full content of each opened tabs side by side instead of the old design of overlapping them vertically. Swiping up and down will close the tab.
Using Incognito tab has also been redesigned too. When you open Incognito tabs, it can be seen by tapping the incognito icon in the upper right corner. Tapping it again will bring you back to your normal tabs.
The new horizontal tab switcher is not yet available on the stable version of Chrome browser. The feature should be implemented pretty soon.
