Startimes has just launched video streaming service on its app for Android and iOS. The service was first launched in Ghana before they officially launched it in Nigeria.

Starting from June 7th to 13th, the first 40,000 subscribers will pay N450 naira to subscribe for ON Sport on Startimes app so you can be able to stream all the ongoing 2018 Russia world cup all in HD.
Any other subscriber outside the first 40,000 people, will pay the original price of the On Sport service which is N1,500.
You will not only stream live matches but have access to full highlights, build-ups, interviews, analysis and magazine shows will also be available with the 5 StarTimes sports channels in the StarTime “ON Sport” service.
There are over 100+ live TV channels on the Startimes app. You will stream live TV programs, TV shows, sports, news, movies, series, music, kids, documentary.

ReplyDeleteGood and nice one from startimes, but they should know we have many applications on Android through which we can stream online different channels be it sports, entertainment etc and it is free, it would only cost us megabytes.
ReplyDeleteNice but data is still a major issue here, they will be very lucky if they can get upto 5,000 subscribers in the next two years, not to talk of 40,000.
ReplyDeleteThey have to find a way to work around it, maybe go into partnership with some ISP to subsidies the price specifically for their service, just like YouTube is currently doing.
