Fast MTN APN Settings For Smooth And Stable Browsing
We all know MTN is one of the strongest network in Nigeria, even though they do fumble sometimes. And as a matter of fact, MTN is my number one favorite network after 9mobile.
There are times you would want to do some serious work online and the network tends to be slow or won't even load web pages complete. This is mostly caused when the server has been overcrowded.
MTN is one of the best and largest network provider in Nigeria with over 50 Million subscribers. In this post, I will be dropping three different APN settings for you to swap from whenever their network tends to be sluggish.
What you have to do is to create three APN settings on your phone. Below are the APN settings. These APN settings also applies to MTN 3G & 4G sim
First APN
Second APN
Third APN

Fast MTN APN Settings For Smooth And Stable Browsing
What you have to do is to create three APN settings on your phone. Below are the APN settings. These APN settings also applies to MTN 3G & 4G sim
First APN
- Name: Entclass 1
- APN: web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
- APN type: Default
- Proxy: Leave blank
- Port: Leave blank
- Username: web or leave blank (your choice)
- Password: web or leave blank (your choice as well)
- Leave the rest at default.
Second APN
- Name: Entclass 2
- APN: web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
- APN type: default,supl
- Proxy: 10.199.212.2
- Port: 8080
- Username: web
- Password: web
- Leave the rest at default.
Third APN
- Name: Entclass 3
- APN: web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
- APN type: default
- Proxy: 127.0.0.1
- Port: 8080
- Username: web
- Password: web
- Leave the rest at default.
The trick here is, you have to add these three APN settings, and swap from them whenever you notice slow connection on MTN.
In my own opinion, I prefer the third APN settings with the private proxy. Trust me I recommend that settings to you as well. But you know, it all depends on your area though. That’s why you have to try out all in order to see which one covers your need and of course, I will like to know which one works best for you in comment section below.

Which application are we going to use to for the APN
ReplyDeleteYou don't need any application to set APN. just go to your phone settings > mobile networks > access point names
DeleteThe first one is the best
ReplyDeleteThat's cool. Thanks for your comment.
DeleteThanks Vic for this post.I was just plannig to dump my MTN sim for that of Airtel. You have saved me from lots of troubles occasioned by poor internet connection from MTN.Few days ago, I nearly throw away my phone when I was trying to get a transaction through and the connection got stuck and I couldn't complete the transaction. My experience with MTN in 2018 as far as the internet is concerned was not like the previous years when MTN used to be the fastest network in my area.I hope they will improve this year.Anyway, I will try these settings and give my feedback. Thanks.
