Dark mode is already becoming one of the important features every Android app should have. Many developers are already adding this feature to their app, while some are still testing the feature.
Just recently, I shared a simple trick on how you can enable Dark mode on your Facebook Messenger app using an Emoji. This time around, it's for Chrome Browser for Android users.
Dark mode is essential during the night as it helps protect against eye fatigue while reading, and as well it also help increase battery life.
Google is already working on a system wide dark mode for its upcoming Android Q and it has already started rolling out the feature to some of its apps such as YouTube.
This feature is still in testing mode as it's not yet enabled for all users. If you can't wait for it to be enabled for the general public, then follow my simple steps to enable Dark mode on your Chrome browser for Android.
> Make sure you update your Chrome browser to the latest version (from V74).
> Copy and paste chrome://flags/#enable-android-night-mode in the address bar.
> Under "Android Chrome UI dark mode", tap on the drop down list and select "Enable". Then tap on Relaunch.
> Again, copy and paste this into your address bar, chrome://flags/#enable-android-web-contents-dark-mode
> Under "Android web contents dark mode", tap on the drop down list and select "Enable", then Relaunch. After that, select Default and Relaunch again.
> Then go to Settings on your Chrome browser > Dark mode and turn Dark mode on.
