Easy Steps To Link Your NIN To 9mobile, MTN, Airtel and Glo Networks

As mandated by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), all Nigerians are required to link their National Identification Number (NIN) with their sim cards, just like how we linked our BVN number to our bank accounts.

In this post, I will show you how to check and confirm if your sim is already linked to your NIN or not. In addition, I will show you how to link your NIN with all networks in Nigeria - MTN, Glo, 9mobile and Airtel. 

How To Confirm Your NIN Status On All Networks

If you are not too sure if you had earlier linked your NIN to your sim or not, then follow this step to confirm the NIN status on your sim.

1. All you have to do is dial *346# and reply with 1. 
2. If your NIN is already linked with your sim, you'll be shown your NIN number, otherwise you'll be asked to enroll for your NIN by visiting any nearest NIMC office closest to you.

On the off chance you have your National Identification Number but yet to link it to your sim(s), then here's a simple guide for you to follow.

How To Link NIN With Glo Network

You can now link your National Identification Number (NIN) to your mobile number as a Glo subscriber. 

• Simply send an sms in this format “UPDATENIN NIN FirstName and LastName” to 109.
• Kindly note that sms is totally free.

How To Link NIN With MTN Nigeria Network

You can now link your National Identification Number (NIN) to your mobile number on the MTN network. 

• Simply dial *785# 
• Then input your NIN number and press Send
• After that, you should get a successful response from MTN
• Alternatively, you can visit http://bit.ly/myMTNapp to get started.

How To Link NIN With Airtel Nigeria Network

To link your NIN with your Airtel sims is very simple and easy. Kindly follow the steps below.

• Just dial *121*1#
• Then input your NIN number and press SEND.
• Alternatively, you can visit http://airtel.com.ng/nin to get started. 

How To Link NIN With 9mobile Network

You can link your National Identity Number (NIN) to your 9mobile number by following this simple steps.

• Just dial *200*8# 
• Then input your NIN number and press Send. 
• Alternatively, you can visit https://9mobile.com.ng/nin to get started.

That's all about linking your National Identification Number to all of your sims, be it 9mobile, MTN, Glo or Airtel network.
